There is a war going on for your mind
You are bombarded constantly with the agendas of others in this war thats going on for your mind.
One commercial insists your life will be filled with bliss if you could only get a prescription from your doctor for the latest drug, the next asks you to join in the class-action lawsuit against the makers last drug you couldn’t live without.
One convinces you to go out tonight to the fancy restaurant for the greatest meal of your life, the next offers the latest diet plan.
One speaks of investment and saving for the future, the next tells you to take a cruise to the Bahamas.
One talks of time with the kids, the next tells you to head to the nearest gambling casino and win a fortune.
Daytime TV shows tempt women with a luxurious life with a better man. They attempt to convince wives their husband is a complete loser and they deserve better. As if by magic the beauty products commercials follow. Buy this and you can have that hair, those nails, this outfit, you can be this skinny and this beautiful and you can run away with that tanned, perfect bodied man.
Nightime TV does its best to convince us men that they should have married a supermodel with the perfect body, the perfect temperament and willing to fulfill all our desires. Meanwhile the divorce rates skyrocket and the kids roam the streets in this war thats going on for your mind.
Seven more soldiers killed in Afghanistan, buy, sell, sale, save, vote for me, don’t vote for him, pass this bill, stop this bill, townhalls, evil, racist, bigot, profiling, terrorists-detainees, war on terror-oversees contingency operation, gitmo, beer summit, protests, global warming, green, Cap-n-Trade, Obama, Palin, missing children, murdered women, socialism, communist, tarp, bailout, billionaires, celebrity deaths, births, upskirts, DUI’s and adopting African babies, taxes, taxes,taxes, STOP!!….its enough to drive anyone insane.
Everyone and everything has an agenda. Lawyers love divorce and openly advertise and encourage it. Politicians love desperate citizens votes and make decisions to encourage the creation of a suffering and needy electorate. Its no accident that the unemployment rate is so high. They have been forcing manufacturing plants to move overseas for years and they have encouraged millions of illegals to come, work cheap, take Americans jobs and moneygram billions out of the country. Corporations must sell products and Wall Street wants your money. There is a war going on for your mind.
We do our best to make a good life for ourselves and resist the agendas of others that are out to deceive us and lead our children astray. We try to provide for our children the tools they will need to be productive members of a free society all the while the free society seems to be deteriorating into communism.
I am worried about the direction my country is heading but I will do everything I can to turn it around. I find it encouraging to see people standing up for freedom, family and God. The tea parties brought me some confidence in my fellow Americans and now the townhall protests are bringing a sense of impending victory. The battles are numerous and the enemies are endless but it is not too much to overcome.
With God on his side, Samson killed a thousand Philistines with a new jawbone of an ass and then was rewarded with a cool drink of water that flowed out of that same jawbone. The bible doesn’t detail the significance of the word “new” but I believe it means something bigger than my mind can comprehend.
Saving free America from a bunch of deviant liberals should be a snap.
