Abuse of our Children for profit doubled last month

While we were focused on the election George Bush signed the "Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008 (H.R. 6893)"

It doubles the federal incentive money to cps/dhs for adopting out kids and provides not one penny for keeping families together.

Mark, at face value one would concur. My problem I see is that unless you stop the human corruption within the legal system, government and conjoin both genders working together at a common goal then individuals are doing nothing more than spinning their wheels of dysfunctional dislike for each other. My question would be "how do we work towards this goal?"

Actually, the $10,000 per year, per child could be thrown into the Social Security pot for each parent. Added onto your current Social Sercurity.

Can you imagine. Read Fatherless in America, crime would be cut in half, less on social welfare spending... The government would save Hundereds of Billions of dollars per year BY SPONSORING THE FAMILY BUSINESS. Sounds like a SciFi novel....

Yes. Excellent article. My comments about $$$$ still stands. The states make a profit stealing children. The Feds sends dollars (about half) to steal children.

Don't kid yourself. Human trafficking has gone on for 000's of years. Children are the slave replacements for the Civil War.

Indians were freed around 1934 when they were granted citizenship (yes, blacks and women were citizens before Indians) that is for those born on a reservation.

I think the government should make it profitable, NOT TO STEAL CHILDREN. We should sponsor candidates for office that oppose CPS/DHS. Make marriage profitable.

Get married, have children, stay married until children are 18, get $10,000 PER YEAR, PER CHILD bonus from the government for staying married. What a concept!! Best interest of the child. Got Dad Got Mom Get Money..... !!

WoW, this is incredible, unbelievable... Way messed up. One would think there is no stopping the Washington DC cocktail club. I denounce the exploitation of human trafficking for financial gain. Government=Social Services=Child(ren)=$$$$

Good job. A few years ago Kentucky doubled their number of adoptions in one year to get government incentives and help offset a budget deficit. Looks like they'll be at it double strength this time.
