I really need some advice and fast, so I am posting this on all my blogs, web pages, etc. in hopes that someone can help me find out or tell me if it is too late to file an Amended Answer to the Complaint for Divorce.
I was served the Complaint for Divorce on February 3rd, 2009 and submitted my Answer to the Court on February 23rd, 2009. At this time we currently have a Status Hearing scheduled for the end of April.
I would like to know if I still have time to submit an Amended Answer so that…

Well for those who are wondering why I suddenly went MIA, here's what's been going on in my life...
Hubby and I have been having problems for several months, which I primarily blame on the fact that my help where his kids were concerned was no longer needed. I spent my days locked up in my own home with no place to go and no way to get there spending god knows how many hours a day helping my husband so he didn't have to keep wasting money on lawyers.
Then just before Christmas I confided in hi…

Hubby met with the FOC referee to have his child support obligation investigated and a recommendation made today, but we're not really sure what is going on at this point because things are apparently being done differently this time.
First, both parties were told to bring in their financial information (W2's, last years tax returns, a recent pay stub, and anything else which shows 'income'). My husband brought in his most recent pay stub, our tax returns from last year, as well as his W2's fro…

Sometime ago I was reading up on PA and PAS when I ran across a website that allowed visitors to email people information on PA and PAS anonymously. At the time it was the only website I knew of that people could do this, but now I can't find it and I could really use it.
Does anyone know of this website on PA and PAS that allows visitors to send the information to other people anonymously?
Thanks!

The statement, "Overages on child support can't be refunded" has brought us frustration and almost as much humor as, "The check is in the mail". I mean isn't that what FOC stands for...
Fathers are
Only
Checks?
Well I cannot count how many times my husband has been fed that line of BS. The humoring part is the fact that every year, usually two or three times, my husband will receive a check from MiSDU (Michigan State Disbursement Unit) for support he has over paid. Of cours…

Well hubby had his hearing today regarding BM's motion for a review of his child support obligation and the judge ordered that the case be referred to the Macomb County FOC for an investigation and recommendation. BM's lawyer stated to the judge that she "had to quit her job", "they feel the Defendant is making more money", and "it's been quite some time since the last review hearing". At that point the judge was trying to conclude the case and hubby politely interrupted him and stated that the…

I don't know how I hadn't noticed it before, but here's my bio, profile, whatever you want to call it since it isn't viewable on my profile. Hopefully this will allow everyone to see why I am here or at least give a better idea as to why and give them a chance to get to know me better since my user-name can be somewhat misleading. Especially for those who know how hardheaded and opinionated I can be. lol. But if there's something I left out, or you just plain old want to know, feel free to as…

As if Mondays aren't bad enough, it is also the only day Motions can be heard in Macomb County Circuit Court. So you can imagine that the weekend prior is pretty much a waste as you're spending it trying to track down last minute information and prepare for the upcoming hearing.
Well that's pretty much how our weekend went, with the addition of having the kids, who were in their typical moods. We had picked them up at noon, as usual, and headed straight to get lunch as their mother insists they…

I swear, if it isn't one thing it is another with this woman!
Hubby has been waiting for papers from his kids moms lawyer regarding their recent agreement on parenting time as she is finally agreeing to let my husband have the state minimum... finally!
Well today I checked the mail and there was something from her lawyer, however upon opening it the first thing that was noticed was the words, "child support review" and my head wanted to completely explode! My husband petitioned the court for a…

So we picked up my stepdaughters today and the first thing I noticed when they walked out was that good old mom has got them wearing the same clothes again. We were hopeful for a moment that she had really learned something from the program her and my hubby just went through (the Children in the Middle BS), since of course she did tell their caseworker she did. But as usual we were right all along, but who are we to complain, right? Its not like forcing them to wear rags to our house says anythi…

I just wanted to post a quick update to this because I've been digging around today and found some very interesting information.
According to the BENEFIT PLANS & AGREEMENTS book provided to my husband by his employer it states that in order for a child to be eligible for health insurance coverage they must meet each one of the following five criteria...
Pg.1,…

Several months ago my husband and the mother of his two daughter's, were brought into court for a show cause hearing. The reasons were because BM had constantly violated their court orders and DH had filed too many complaints.
As usual the hearing was set aside as soon as BM started promising anything under the sun to keep from going to jail and she agreed to attend a PCE Program (Parental Coordination Evaluation). Of course the courts stipulated that my DH also had to attended, whereas BM imme…

Here's just a few odd and ends that have been causing my husband major problems with the courts, at least from what he is being told.
First, he and his kids mom were never married, and in fact have never lived with one another since their first daughter was born. Prior to that mom already had a daughter, whom my husband was raising at the time due to mom having a rough pregnancy, being depressed, etc. Around that time, while she was pregnant, she took her other daughter into their family doctor…

I finally got the letter hubby recieved from his lawyer scanned and uploaded, which I would like to get some comments on to see if it is just us "over reacting" or if we have a right to be angry.
First, I need to explain a few things and also mention that my husband court date involving issues mentioned in this letter was May 16, 2008. Now with regards to the actual letter, on the first page note that this letter is dated the day before hubby's court appearance and the envelope is postmarked th…

I don't know that anyone will read this, but I needed to get this frustrations out and this seemed like the best place at the moment.
My husband has been dealing with the courts, lawyers, and most importantly an irate mother to his children for over nine years now. Out of all of those above, I couldn't tell you at this point which is the worst as their all in a tie for first place. The courts are useless, the lawyers are paid to be useless, and well mom, that just goes without saying when she h…
