Monday, July 20, 2009

In Ohio, a new law could mean that fathers of unborn children could have say in abortion decisions, if a house bill is passed by the Ohio State Legislature.
Columbus, OH — An Ohio lawmaker has re-introduced legislation that would include a father’s rights in the abortion decision-making process. Under Roe v. Wade, fathers are left out of the equation when a woman conside…

Guardian Writer Starting to 'Get It' About Fathers
November 18th, 2009 by Robert Franklin, Esq.
I can't agree with the headline of this piece, but then, I'm not sure the writer does either (The Guardian, 10/26/09). And beyond the headline, it's a pretty good piece.
"Men Should Be Encouraged to Be Full-Time Fathers" is not an idea I can support. For decades now, feminists have rightly argued that full-time parenting tends to mean full-time dependency on someone else to earn the money it takes to…

Aussie AG Urged to Replace Shared Parenting with Canadian Model
November 18th, 2009 by Robert Franklin, Esq.
According to this article, Australian Attorney General Robert McClelland has been "urged" to recommend the "Canada model" of child custody to replace Australia's shared parenting statute that is barely three years old (The Australian, 10/26/09). Just who's doing the urging, the article doesn't tell us.
But whoever it is, it's clear that the writer is all for it. She suggests that Canada…

The AG is thinking that dead-beats are so dumb that he could easily put one over on him. So the AG asks if the dead-beat would like to play a fun game. The dead-beat is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines and tries to catch a few winks. The AG persists, "This game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5. You ask me one and if I don't know the answer, I pay you $500.
This catches the dead-beats attention and to keep the A…
