A lot of misinformation has been put forth to Florida Voters, but when you examine Amendment 2, what it is doing is defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. This amendment will prohibit gay marriage in florida but will not remove any of their benefits or rights- neither will this bill effect the rights and benefits of seniors. Again, all it does is define marriage as union between one man and one woman- Florida already has a law dealing with marriage- but the supreme court is very likely to end up DEFINING marriage as more combinations than just one man and one woman, as they have in California, Massechewsets and Connecticut.
