Welcome to CNBP forum. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with all the features. There is a discussion board that you may search by topic, a blog where you may post information you would like others to see and a members directory. THANK YOU for taking the time to add your city and state to your profile. Although the issues we face are universal many of the changes will take place locally and that is when we need to be able to contact each other instead of the entire group. If you need any assistance please feel free to contact me. Again, welcome and I hope you find CNBP to be a valuable resource.

Our 13 year old daughter Catherine Steeves has now (since March 09) been
in 3 foster homes. She has several health problems which involve ADHD,
anxiety issues and a Developmental Disability. She is frustrated and
wants to go home, has had her medications switched around too often.
She is acting out because of this. She has come from a home where we
have a lot of family interaction, (she has 6 other siblings), we bake,
we cook, we hang out and talk, and have what we truly consider is a
wonderful family life.
She is now in Bluewater group home, which is very institutional-like,
and desperately needs an upgrade. The staff is competant, which helps a
lot. But she is in a room the size of a shoebox, with a bed and a
shelf. She has very little contact with her family and we just wanted
to cry when we saw what her life was like now. We have to beg CAS to
help her go out and go trick or treating and are willing to provide her
with a costume.
For christmas we always make it special, and everyone comes and sleeps
over, Christina 24, Sara 22, her husband Mikey 23 and her son 3, Robert
19, Gelja 18 and her husband Justin 21. We work hard on xmas eve to
ensure that everyone is happy in the morning. Catherine still believes
in Santa. That is now gone for everyone. This christmas Santa is not
coming here (he passes houses where there are no children) and we are
all too distraught to have a christmas without them.
Please help us bring our child home.
our family poem
Family
is, heaven sent from our father above, bonded by the power of love.
No matter what family has each others back,
when push comes to shove.
Family
is, understanding, never demanding, all for one and one for all, I will
never leave you alone standing.
Family
is, one in itself, my love is your love, your pain is my pain, my wealth
is your
wealth, I promise to never leave you by yourself.
Family
is, the strongest team, the strongest unit; if love could be visualized,
family
would be the blue print.
Family
is, forgiveness and patience, it's sweeter than the sweetest fragrance,
the
power of family is a reflection of Gods compassion and magnificence.
Family
is, never turning our back, and never shames, lend my helping hand and
not a finger pointing the blame.
No matter
what a family bond can never be broken, even through a nuclear
explosion,
if one of us lives we all live. Forever to eternity, we are family, my
father, my mother,
my brothers, my sisters and me.
Thank you for your time
Ivan Steeves
