Hi Patrick, the pictures of your beautiful baby have brught tears to my eyes. As I told so many people on our site how sad divorce is, how the kids suffer. If only people who get divorced stop and think first about their children instead of being selfish and worrying about themselves. I live in Johannesburg South Africa, my ex husband has my daughters who he has kept from me for over 7 years. I am an amazing mother and have 3 older children with my ex. I cannot begin to tell you how heartbroken I am. My ex has totally brainwashed my girls and now they dont even want to talk to me. They believe that I abandoned them and dont want them. He is sick and has a lot of answering to do. I just can fight him through the court system any longer. I wish you well and pray that everything works out for you. Take care Merley (Johannesburg South Africa)
Thanks for asking... there is always lots of news on my case. I make the news myself. We all need to realize this is not a situation for anyone to remain passive at all ...we cant wait to hear things , we have to go out and make it happen. You will definitely end up a victim of the system if you allow it to just happen...we all have to learn to be pro-active.
I am fighting on several fronts at once. The news I will offer right now is that I just got back from Washington DC again. I spent 12 days there starting the day after the elections.
We have a new president and I have been working with his Senate office for 2 years now...I wanted to make sure that I could keep the dialogue going once they all go behind the White House curtain. It was a celebratory time for all of them obviously...and interesting for me to see much of the behind the scenes activity immediately following the election. I spent every day on Capitol Hill and with various think-tanks as well. So we also have a new crop of Congressmen and Senators. And we have lots of legislators moving offices, lots of re-structuring on most of the Committee's , and all of the political appointee's preparing to leave and be replaced. Basically, it's a bit of a chaotic time there. On some fronts we have to start all over again there. So my efforts on this recent trip was to continue the work with all of the offices where my work is progressing ...and make sure it stays on top of the piles on everyones desks when all of the new people come in and try to figure out what needs attention.
I would welcome the support of anyone who wants to engage with their federal legislators.
