I am fighting on several fronts at once. The news I will offer right now is that I just got back from Washington DC again. I spent 12 days there starting the day after the elections.
We have a new president and I have been working with his Senate office for 2 years now...I wanted to make sure that I could keep the dialogue going once they all go behind the White House curtain. It was a celebratory time for all of them obviously...and interesting for me to see much of the behind the scenes activity immediately following the election. I spent every day on Capitol Hill and with various think-tanks as well. So we also have a new crop of Congressmen and Senators. And we have lots of legislators moving offices, lots of re-structuring on most of the Committee's , and all of the political appointee's preparing to leave and be replaced. Basically, it's a bit of a chaotic time there. On some fronts we have to start all over again there. So my efforts on this recent trip was to continue the work with all of the offices where my work is progressing ...and make sure it stays on top of the piles on everyones desks when all of the new people come in and try to figure out what needs attention.
I would welcome the support of anyone who wants to engage with their federal legislators.

I have an aunt and Uncle living in Japan at this time. My Uncle speaks fluent Japense among other langueges. He has been threre for years and has a 1/2 japenese daughter/ I believe that she is in college now here in the US. MY Aunt's name is Setsue Shiramizu and my Uncle met her while visiting my family when we livewd in Hawaii. Setsue teaches English to Japanese students and my Uncle is in linguistics Im not sure for whom. If it will help you I can give you their contact info.
