I am a single father of a little girl who lost her mom. The grandmother alienated her from me for a year while she obtained guardianship without letting me know what was going on. I did everything the courts requested and also paid for the services and still my daughter has to be without me or her mom. According to the court ,a therapist they recommended and my attorney its in the best intrest of my daughter to be with the grandparents and only get 4hrs a month visits per the grandparents. I paid for my dna i paid the therapist $73 and hour and paid for my visits $30 an hour ,child support to the grandparents and insurance and still was degraded by cass county dhs,cps,and the therapist. It seem like a conflict of intrest to me, taking my money although they were actually helping the granparents.

Interesting, I believe you must be in Judge Dobrich's (Sp?) courtroom... If so she's a real interesting bag of marbles... Were you ever TPR'd?

Yea she is and i can honestly say she doesnt know whats in the best intrest of any child or anyone as far as that matter goes

I've heard a lot of bad about her... There were two appeals I saw a few months back that she lost. She seems to be the ruler of Cass County. Isn't she married to the head Sheriff too?

Im not sure but i found that very interesting to know incase she is. Well i told the dhs department like it was. I told them that when i get ready go back after my daughter my attorney is gonna ask for a change of venue due to the fact on how the case was handled. They made me go through alot of things and i paid for them and completed them. I have been degraded by that county. So i have 2 weeks of vacation time coming and im planning on boycotting the courthouse ,my ex attorneys office and julie rieghsing the therapists office. I feel it was all a conflict of intrest and when grand parents do not have rights in the law books thats what it should be and Cass county should not beable to make up their own laws.

Oh yes Cass County is horrible, it's as if your under a dictatorship. The problem you'll run into is that you have to go back before Dobrich to allow the change of venue, if I'm not mistaken. She's the only judge that will hear it, isn't she? It's as if she owns you. That county is nuts... I'll stop by your page and see if I can't put you in touch with some others.

basically all they have to do is get my county to take jurisdiction over the case sense my daughter was stolen from my county

Okay, your child was taken from County "X" and then moved out of the County to Cass "Corruption" County? Why is that?

Because her grandma lives on the border of berrien county and cass county. When she took my daughter she knew in berrien county grand parents dont have rights but Cass county has the same law but they dont act on it. So the grandma knew she could get anything she asked for so thats why she chose to take the case to cass.

I see... Were you ever TPR'd and/or where are you at in the case?

What does tpr'd mean? As far as the case goes it was a done deal. Dobrich,Dhs,Cps,and my ex attorney pretty much summed it all up by dragging me through requests made by dhs and dobrich and charged me alot of unecessary out of pocket expenses knowing dang well that i wouldnt get my daughter due to the investigation of a cps agency and also it was pretty much a conflict of intrest because it didnt matter how much i spent in legal fees and for everything the courts still gave my daughter to the grandparents. Julie Reising, never use her as a therapist. She is a back stabber too. All during my sessions with her she talked about how well the grandparents were doing with my daughter but she not once even stopped to encourage me on fighting cps over my other 2 kids ,having my own home,having a full time job and having a daycare for my daughter. I think that was bull crap about how they switched dhs workers to do my home study to justify a lie towards me and lean towards the grandparents. It seems that conflict of intrest is against the law and they violated that, they violated my parent rights and they degraded me as a father after being a father for 10 years.

TPR is Terminated Parental Rights. CPS is required to seek placement with a natural parent first, then grandparent and so on down the line.

I have never had my rights terminated but i was involved with the case to where cps was trying based on false reports
